Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you have a shelter?
A: We do not have a dedicated shelter. Most of our dogs live in foster homes or at a daycare/boarding facility in Lincoln Park while they are waiting for their forever homes.
Q: Can I visit?
A: Absolutely! Since all of our dogs are not at one central location, please contact us at info@projectrescuechicago.org to schedule a time if you would like to meet a dog.
Q: Where do your dogs come from?
A: Most of our dogs come from Chicago Animal Care and Control or from one of the many, many high kill animal control facilities in IL and IN.
Q: How much time do the dogs spend with PRC?
A: This depends on the condition of the dog when when he/she is admitted to our rescue. Lots of the dogs we take in are social, happy, healthy, fully vaccinated and ready to be adopted. Sometimes, we take in dogs who need a little time before they are ready for their forever home.
Q: Can I take the dog home the day I meet him?
A: No. It is our policy to do a home visit for every dog.
